Recipe Photos – Desserts – Десерти

Desserts (Десерти) – a yummy finish to a meal any time of the day.  This is a very interesting category of food for several reasons:  (a) many foods can become desserts by the additions of sweet ingredients – for example palachinki can be salty (with feta cheese) or sweet (with jam); (b) desserts have become almost a universal type of food — I am hard pressed to think of a culture around the world which does not include sweets of some type in their menu!
